In August 2017, I decided to make a lifestyle change.
After having back surgery in 2016, I had gained a lot of extra weight which was causing much renowned pain that I was scared might lead to more surgeries. I decided to join a gym, but was nervous because of the back issues.
I mustered up the nerve one night after work and walked into Be Strong, where I was greeted at the door by the owner, Drew.
I spent some time with him, talking about my situation, and he reassured me that he had worked successfully with similar issues and some that were even worse than mine. Still somewhat nervous, I started this adventure the next week where I was coached on how to exercise, stretch, and weight train along with some great coaches and members that are always there to help or correct me if I was doing something the wrong way.
In the past couple of months, I have dropped over 20 pounds and inches from my waist. My energy levels are off the charts! I can't remember the last time I felt this good! The real eye opener was when my oldest son said he noticed my changes and he can't remember the last time I was able to chase him around playing.
