I started my Be Strong journey just over 4 years ago in early July. I had just graduated nursing school, passed my boards, and I finally felt I had the time to get healthy. Thanks to a very dear friend, who had already caught the fitness bug, I was introduced to Be Strong. I have to say, it has been an amazing experience.

Over the last 4 years, I have lost weight but I am human. I work crazy hours, have a busy, stressful life, and a very demanding job, so of course at times I have put weight back on. My skinny jeans can be a little too tight somedays, but I am a lot leaner than when I started. I am so much stronger and have more energy than before I found Be Strong. I am not where I want to be but I am happy with where I am and and I'm healthier than ever.

My fitness journey is not complete but is anyone's ever really complete? With the great support system at Be Strong, I know going to the gym will be a life long activity for me. In the long run, I'm always getting better while battling the ups and downs that life brings along the way. Every day I look forward to seeing my 9:00am workout buddies!! Every coach cares and supports each member who trains at Be Strong, and the members support and motivate each other inside and outside of the gym.  We push each other to do our best and cheer on the new members who join us. There are days I do not want to go to the gym, but I have never regretted a workout. I look forward to my workouts because I know I am doing something good for my body, and something my 80 year old self will thank me for later. In my experience as a nurse, I  have seen way too many patients  with coronary/peripheral artery disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and severe obesity to know training at Be Strong will prevent these diseases.

I feel stronger and healthier than I ever did in my teens and 20's. And I will continue to push myself even harder to become even stronger and healthier.
